Dario Sabina

Darío Sabina is an Argentine filmmaker born in Buenos Aires. He studied Image and Sound Design and Combined Arts at the UBA and began his career as an editor before moving on to other areas of filmmaking such as VFX supervision, cinematography, and directing.
Since 2005, Darío has been a director, having directed over 300 commercials for various brands including LOREAL, GARNIER, CHEVROLET, JOHNSON AND JOHNSON, SERTAL, DETOL, PFIZER, among others, as well as video clips for bands and soloists from Argentina and Latin America. He has also worked as a director of photography on various feature films such as LETTERS TO JENNY, THE MAN WHO RUN AFTER THE WIND, ARREBATO, SECOND DEATH, INTIMATE WITNESS, and BELLA.

In addition to his work in filmmaking, Darío has given courses on the beginnings of HIGH DEFINITION technology for SONY LATIN AMERICA in countries such as Colombia and Mexico. In 2000, he co-founded the company ALTA DEFINICION ARGENTINA, a pioneer in the development of digital cinematography in Argentina, and in 2004 he created and led the post-production department of the company, training various technicians, operators, and colorists.

In 2006, he created the advertising film production company AMADOS FILMS, where he served as an executive producer and director. In 2012, he produced, directed, and served as director of photography for his independent film "MI MEMORIA CARMESI". Darío has directed and led film crews in various countries and cultures, including Israel, Lebanon, Arab Emirates, Egypt, Spain, Ecuador, Paraguay, Mexico, and Chile.

Darío's short film "PROXIMOS", of which he was a scriptwriter and director, was completed in 2017 and has been shown at various international film festivals. His fashion film "RÉCONCILIATION" was a finalist at the Sarajevo Fashion Film Festival in 2017, and in 2018 he made the short film "LA ENTREGA", shot entirely with a cell phone.

In 2019, his feature film script "PUEBLO CHICO" was awarded by INCAA (Argentina’s national film institute) and is currently in the pre-production stage. In 2021, Darío created and is in the pre-production stage of his upcoming TV series "El Viaje".

With his extensive experience in the film industry, Darío Sabina continues to push the boundaries of storytelling through his innovative work as a director, cinematographer, and producer.
