In February 2011 a near-death experience helped Stephen Quinn shift focus from journalism to creative writing. Since 2014 he has published a novel (and written the drafts of two others), a book of poetry and photographs, made hundreds of videos and written four screenplays. In his previous life Stephen Quinn published 27 non-fiction books during 40 years as a journalist and university professor. He has worked for some of the world’s premier news organisations including the BBC, TVNZ, ABC, MBC, the Bangkok Post, the South China Morning Post and The Guardian.
