María Tomás in a Spanish artist and filmmaker based in London.
Raised in a small town near Valencia, María graduated in Law and Human Rights from the University of Valencia before relocating to the UK and earning a degree in Filmmaking and Creative Media. In 2019, she founded her own production company, LLuita Films.
Maria has written, produced, directed, and edited music videos including Arcángel Aranda’s “Tango des Amants Oubliés” which premiered at Atresmedia and is currently being broadcasted on Spanish television on Antena 3, LaSexta and Nova. She is a self-taught artist working in different mediums such as oil painting, watercolours and sculpture, and has passion for poetry.
At present, Maria is working on a short film currently in postproduction and on her first feature film due to be produced in September 2020. She is also preparing for her first solo exhibition, where she explores her creative process as a filmmaker through fine art works and poetry.
