About Emma

With the recent revolution of the African theatre and after obtaining a Diploma in Film making at Central Film School London. I was an associate producer for a British war documentary called “Divided by Race United by War and Peace”. A documentary supported by the British Film Institute and funded by The National Lottery the testimonies of 13 surviving black men and women 2nd World War veterans, who risked their lives to serve under the British flag, and then faced a second battle – their right to remain British citizens.

I just finished production for my first film "Out of Breath". I wrote this story to pay homage to Ndi Igbo’s unsung heroes and shine a light on men and women of honour who stood their ground to preserve culture while fighting for freedom for their people.

The vision is to use this story to depict the rich heritage, beautiful, hardworking and honourable way of life of the Igbos across Nigeria that has remained unsung. I hope to keep telling stories from an educative and enlightenment perspective, with the aim to tap into the cultural and historical ideas of the 'African' and showcase our roots and transitional values in a glamorous way. Let’s tell it together and continue to make history.
