Alya (ah-lee-ah) is an actor, improviser and host of The Actor's Resource podcast. Soon to be rebranded: Did You Know? with Alya Lei

She is also a member (and producer) of "FreeFall International" Improv troupe - an international group of actors and creators, established during the pandemic, performing live, unscripted shows for people all over the world to connect with each other and have fun together. We entertain our audiences with joy, tears and/or laughter, by recognizing our shared humanity.

Alya played the lead in "Touch of Essence" - an official selection of the 2015 CAAM film festival.

Alya has acted on a variety of sets - network television, independent films, corporate industrials, and national commercials including HBO's Barry, Lucifer, 13 Reasons Why and IBM.

Alya played the lead in "Laughing Again" (a dramatic short) written and directed by Sarah Knapp, which is currently (2024) on the film festival circuit.
