Louis is now pitching in Europe and the U.S. his award-winning (including Best Feature and Best Adaptation) feature adaptation of Irène Némirovsky's 1940 novel The Dogs and the Wolves. He would like to find an Indigenous filmmaker for his award-winning pilot adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize finalist MEAN SPIRIT, by acclaimed Chickasaw poet and author Linda Hogan. Louis was hired to co-write CAPTAIN FOR DARK MORNINGS, the limited series pilot, now in development, for Shad Meshad's autobiography of his tour of duty in the Vietnam War as a psych officer (https://nvf.org/leadership-board-of-directors/). He co-wrote an original western pilot, PURGATORY, a 2021 Austin Second Rounder, a 2022 ISA Fast Track Second Rounder, and a 2023 Save The Cat TOP 25. He adapted Warren Easley's NOT DEAD ENOUGH for a proposed anthology of Easley's Claxton mystery series.
He is currently working on an pilot for a proposed three to four season TV series adaption of TEARS AND PRAYERS OF FOOLS (first season) by the late award-winning Grigory Kanovich; rewrite of ETTTA BERNS, a 1904 western inspired by real events; an UNTITLED coming of age Two Years Before the Mast x Moby Dick adventure based on actual people and events; and LIBEL, a midEvil tale of fake news based on actual people and events.
------- INQUIRIES WELCOMED. Would love to pitch any of these.
As a background actor, Louis has appeared in over forty TV episodes, films, and commercials.
