The Taking of Squaw Point (2025)
writer/director Peter Coture fights for recognition of his family at Squaw Point after they were swindled off their land for five dollars by the McLachlan's. After his success getting the Municipality of Owen Sound to put up a Metis Families of Mudtown sign, Pete continues to fight for recognition of his great-grandfather Joe Coture's home at Squaw Point which is now Hibou Conservation Area. This adventure takes him to a discovery of a painting of the home at the Tom Thompson Art Gallery.
