About Hassan

Originally from Mahabad-a Kurdish city in western Iran, I’ve been working as a freelancer in film, theatre and photography business for more than 30 years. I’ve lived and worked in Iran and now in Australia where I work as a director, producer, and writer. I developed an acting technique called “creating virtual characters” to create and achieve more believable characters for Film and TV.
I have got a bachelor degree in Film and TV production and a Master of Arts with Honours in Media production. I completed a Doctorate of Visual Arts on “Digital Docu-fiction”, explored the shortage of literature about Kurdish films, the misrepresentation of Kurdish filmmaking, the emergence of Kurdish cinema and the obstacles faced by it, as well as the emergence of Kurdish cinematic styles. I produced my first feature film “The Sultan and The Kings” based on my idea regarding “Digital Docu-fiction”.
