I'm a film writer/producer, book author, and an active innovator and adopter of new media technology. I also hold a Ph.D. in Information Science and an MBA, so I'm tech savvy and have business sensibility. I hail from London Canada but spent most of my career working in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles including stints at Disney, Warner Bros., and several media-related online services.
In 1992, I produced a computer generated cartoon entitled "Kindness to Animals" (5 minutes), which was distributed via Sound Vision's Adam's World children’s series. This was also the year I joined Disney working to automate the Buena Vista Pictures Distribution and Buena Vista Pictures Marketing divisions during the release of "Aladdin", "The Lion King", and "Toy Story".
In 1997, I joined Warner Brothers Online as Director of Technology, leading the division to several innovative breakthroughs in technology and media distribution. My division worked on projects such as "You Got Mail" and "The Matrix".
In 2005, I completed production on "Alliance", a 30-minute science fiction film that I co-wrote. This live action film earned several film festival awards internationally, including Best Picture, Audience Choice, and Best Sci-fi awards.
In 2015 I published a 32-page color children’s books entitled “Chug and Thug: The Alug Bugs” available in hardcover and e-book.
I moved to Abu Dhabi in 2009, where I founded the Abu Dhabi Filmmaker’s Network, a media interest group with nearly 500 members including actors, directors, producers, writers, and cinematographers. I currently live in Windsor Canada and am working on a novel and film production of a fantasy adventure series “The Legend of Hal”.
