With over 16 years of captivating audiences, Rob Santos has carved a bold, authentic path in the world of comedy and performance.
Starting in the vibrant comedy scene of New York City, Rob’s career took flight performing at legendary venues like Caroline’s on Broadway, New York Comedy Club, and The Comic Strip. After returning home to Connecticut, he quickly made waves as a finalist for Funniest Comedian in New England and graced major stages including Comix at Foxwoods and The Hartford Funny Bone.
In 2020, Rob’s ingenuity shone during the pandemic with the creation of “860: America’s Bedtime Story,” a live-streamed stand-up special that brought humor and hope to audiences stuck in lockdown.
Fueling his passion for storytelling, Rob went on to create, write, and star in Beige — a powerful revival of his earlier project, Beige on Both Sides. Through grassroots fundraising efforts, Rob and his team raised over $40,000 — much of it during the height of the pandemic — to bring Beige to life.
Premiering at TheaterWorks Hartford in April 2024, Beige has since achieved major acclaim: it was selected for the Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival and the Bridgeport Film Fest in 2024. Beige is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, Fox Soul, Kold Open, and Vaba TV.
In addition to his work in television and stage, Rob appears as a supporting actor in the 2024 feature film Midas (Hartford Film Company), further expanding his dynamic range as a performer.
Beyond the stage and screen, Rob has been a Teaching Artist since 2017, leading his groundbreaking comedy workshop Each One, Teach One. This innovative program blends stand-up comedy with SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) principles, empowering participants to use vulnerability, storytelling, and humor as tools for personal growth and connection.
A true multi-hyphenate artist, Rob’s work continues to blur the lines between stand-up, theater, and healing — inviting audiences not just to laugh, but to see themselves more clearly.
