About Julye
Let's face it, I love photography, that's why my hobby became a passion and later a business. After 20 years behind the lens all I know is, I love my job; I like meeting new people, and I enjoy going to new places. Life is interesting; so let's capture it!
I have experience as a DP, DIT, director, camera operator, editor, data manager, digital loader and a one-man band in broadcast, commercial, industrial, educational, and informational production. I have have worked on multi-camera, live event, long form, and interstitial vignette programming in both cellulose and digital; however, my current projects usually evolve on RED, DSLR, P2, XDCam (F3, F5), or an occasional magnetic strip as HDV or DVCam. My field production kit contains a traditional 1-ton lighting option, fluorescents, LED's or HMI's. I also can provide an EFP audio package and a portable download station.
Julye Newlin Productions, Inc. was opened in 1993 to provide service in video and film production. Some of the production company's broadcast customers include: A&E, BBC, CNN, CBS, Discovery Communications, ESPN, Fuel Network, HGTV, History Channel, MTV Networks, NBA Entertainment and National Geographic.
And, not to be overlooked, Houston's corporations provide a substantial percentage of success for all of the production companies in the area. A healthy addiction to competitive figure skating. During the filming, Andy, who could be whisked away at a moment's notice from California to a war zone, suffered from anxiety, fear and stress-induced injuries, and fought for time to practice his skating program. Doctor Chris was consumed with his busy practice in Minnesota, but was separated from his wife and son, which weighed on his mind as he trained with his pairs partner. Shannon from Texas had quit her job as an architect to become a mother of three, and struggled to keep her skating going through life-threatening cancer treatment processes. Skating Through It chronicles their lives over a year as they battle their challenges and prepare for an adult national figure skating competition.
