About Candace

Starting early on in my film education I fell in love with the art of sound not just sound used as a simply technical part of the cinematic machine but also as a tone setting, audience grabbing aspect that simply could not be treated with such sterility as one might expect. I describe myself as a sound artist because I believe in the beauty of the brush strokes and tools within the artist pouch of a sound designer. My goals on any project is that with each edit I transform a relatively blank canvas of film into a sonically breathtaking masterpiece.

Sound Editing is my chosen career, but I believe that I was born to be a sound artist. With each new projects I find new ways to reinvent the sounds we hear all around us on a daily basis in such a way that it captivates the audience. I strive to find a way to pull the viewer in more and more, not solely by what they are seeing but even by the very sound of wind in the trees and the breathe of the characters.
