About Emily

A Royal College of Music graduate, Emily specializes in bespoke sound and music creation for screen, with recent projects including writing music for the BBC Natural World 2012/13 series.

Emily regularly works as an assistant to British film, TV and video games composer Stephen Baysted (Credits inc. EA games Shift : Need for Speed, Shift 2: Unleashed, GTR 1 & 2, campaigns for Budweiser, Pizza Hut). She has recently assisted Stephen on a number of projects including feature film Strange Factories, video games including The Walking Dead: Assault and Toymaster and short film Psycho house.

From a young age, Emily’s passion for music performance (clarinet, guitar, percussion) developed into an interest in composing scores for film and television. Her interest was developed greatly whilst studying a degree in Music Production for Film & Television at Leeds College of Music, studying under composers such as Paul Joyce (The Snow Queen) and nominated BAFTA composer Neil Myers (Sky Sports), where she graduated in 2010 with first class honours.
Following her graduation from Leeds College of Music, Emily chose to continue pursuing her career as a screen composer and with help from the Kochan Trust, moved down to London to study a Masters Degree in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music.
