SARINA TAYLOR – BIOGRAPHY
Sarina Taylor (born Sarina Potgieter) is an actress and producer who’s film Solitary recently saw her awarded the Best Actress Award at the Idyllwild International Festival Of Cinema. Solitary, which Sarina also co-produced has been nominated and won numerous awards throughout 2015.
Sarina was born in a small town in South Africa and at the age of 12 moved to Johannesburg in order to attend the National School of the Arts where she was accepted into their ballet programme. She moved into the Drama programme for the final two years of her schooling.
Upon leaving the National School of The Arts, Sarina turned her hand to studying Make Up Artistry and Theatre Crafts at what is now known as The Tshwane University Of Technology in Pretoria. Here she specialised in prosthetics and special effects, prop making and set design.
Sarina continued to dance professionally for many years in a number of Theatrical productions worldwide.
Having always had a passion for performing, in 2013, Sarina successfully moved into the realm of film, both as an actress and producer. The past two years have seen Sarina perform in Solitary, Tomorrow, A Christmas Carol, and Unborn Justice. Her next film project is The Wind Of Heaven due to start filming in January 2016.
