Photograph © Michael Moustafi 1989 I made this 'Loch ness monster' an animatronic hand puppet many years ago. I sent this photo to Hollywood, i think my paint job curiously resembles the Velociraptors from jurrassic park which was made years later.

Sir Ian Holm (At this time he hadn't had his head cast since Alien) — in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Very thin silicone prothesis in one piece covering his entire head - the challenge was to not totally obliterate his facial features - So the audience could still recognize Sir Ian.

Whilst working on Sir Ian's make-up a really tall guy came in who was interested in seeing my work. I thought he looks a bit like Rutger Hauer but no it can't be he's too old.. It was Rutger!

The concept was that his head grows from the ground like a magic mushroom. The hebrew lettering was copied from 'the dead sea scrolls'

I was unhappy with the finnished make-up because I felt the make-up would work better with normal flesh tones. I felt the hebrew lettering should have been more like scars, purple and red rather than dark brown. However the director thought otherwise.

This has now become the industry standard as a replacement for foamed latex prosthetic make-up... What I like most about this make-up is how his eye distracts from his false nose

Did not get the baron but instead made around 50 bald heads and supplied the production with my blood formula.
