From a very early age, Shannon Edwards' teachers and professors always said he had a gift for writing and written storytelling, and encouraged him to pursue that as a profession. Starting out as a theatre major at Ole Miss, he ended up getting his BA in journalism and mass communications.
He then spent more than 25 years as an Advertising Copywriter writing short films otherwise known as television commercials. Eventually working his way up to Senior Copywriter at J. Walter Thompson USA. A major change in the industry led to his involuntary retirement, but gave him the time and incentive to pursue something he had wanted to do from the very beginning: Screenwriting and acting.
In addition to earning his SAG-AFTRA card, Shannon has since written or co-written nearly a dozen feature film scripts.
