About Kathryn

Kathryn is the Founder and Master Teacher of Acting For Your Life, an entertainment based education company that supports artists in finding balance in life and career. More than 6,500 artists have graduated from the program since 2005, and the Acting For Your Life podcast is currently in 71 countries with over 65,000 weekly listeners world-wide. Kathryn holds her Masters of Science in Entertainment Business, and is currently pursuing her Doctorate Degree in Psychology with a focus in Creativity, Performance, and Coaching.

Kathryn's career began on stage. She has starred in more than 30 professional productions and as a director, she has led more than 50 professional main stage shows both on and off Broadway. Previous notable roles include the critically acclaimed KZ on Broadway performance series at Avery Fischer Hall, Lincoln Center and the Supper Club on 47th St in New York, twice as Elphaba in Wicked for BC/EFA & Leukemia/Lymphoma Society Charity showcases in Manhattan, Nellie Lovett in Renegade Art Productions Sweeney Todd, Sally Bowels in Cabaret, Nora Helmer in Ibsen's A Doll's House, Isabella in Measure for Measure, and Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible.

Her film screenwriting debut with Breath of Heaven () is currently in pre-production, and her first short Chivalry (as screenwriter, director, and producer) was selected for the MayDay Film Festival. She has been a featured guest of Entertainment Tonight’s Seth Rudetsky on Sirius/XM Broadway's Best, and earned critical kudos for her performances at the Supper Club and Avery Fischer Hall, Lincoln Center.

Kathryn is currently pursing her Doctorate in Psychology with a focus in Creativity, Performance, and Coaching. She holds her Masters of Science in Entertainment Business, and a BA in Communication with a Theatre Concentration. She graduated from the Gregory Abels Training Ensemble (G.A.T.E.) in Manhattan. While at GATE she studied under the guidance of Sensei Gregory Ables. During her conservatory training, Kathryn also studied with Olympia Dukakis, Charles Kimbrough, Brian Murray, David Chandler, David Wells, and Per Brahe. She is a 3rd generation Master Teacher in the Adler/Stanislavski line of teaching.
