RICK MARCIL – BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Rick Marcil currently the Owner / Engineer at Golden Ear Studios, a Voiceover and Music studio in Southwick. For the last eleven years prior he was the Global Sound Manager at Hasbro Games, where he was responsible for all speech, music and SFX in games worldwide, in several languages.
He is also a piano and voice teacher in his home and at the Springfield Conservatory of Music.
He has been a church musician for decades, and is the Minister of Music for the Wachogue Congregational Church. He also annually conducts the Holiday Grand Chorus as part of a benefit to raise money for cancer research.
Prior to spending many years in Quality Assurance at various companies, Rick taught vocal and general music at the Nauset Regional Middle School on the Cape and was the Director of Music for Nute High School, Milton NH.
Rick has a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Lowell, an MBA from Western New England College, and has recently taken courses in Digital Media at Holyoke Community College.
In the fall of 2014, Marcil will be teaching group and individual voice lessons, as well as Jazz History at Holyoke Community College.
He also plays keyboards and sings in "Father and the Flock, a Springfield area church band.
