My late husband writer/editor/journalist John Morley, known as the adopted White Brother by the North American Native People, seen here on one of his authorized cultured tours to the Iroquois village on the Grand River Lands Canada, to explain to others the faith, beliefs, desires and way of life of his Red Brothers. Among the very few John had been permitted to learn from, stay with the Red Men and share their secrets.
Delighted to see our writer/director Alexander Fodor (latest feature DEAD AND AWAKE) so happy attending the premiere of BAKU I LOVE YOU at the Modern Art Museum, Baku, Azerbaijan and mixing with prominent public figures of culture and arts, creative intellectuals, diplomats and visitors. As one of the directors of this ambitious project, we are proud of you. Your 'Dead And Awake' team.
Great Writers Inspire. Alexander Fodor's writer's touch shines through in his movie DEAD AND AWAKE. The scene between Amy (Funda Onal) and Emily (Renate Morley) is touching and deep. Emily: 'Would you mind if I take your photograph?' Amy: ' I'd really rather you didn't.' Emily: ' I was not hoping to take a photograph of you but your emotions.' What an original thought! A camera can records what we often try to hide.
A wonderful drawing by my late husband John Morley of Chief Red Cloud. Adopted by Mohawk Indians and sharing their lives, John was always upset by the widespread misuse of their sacred traditions, and disgraceful exploitations of their culture. The distorted representations of their spirituality by 'wannabes' and the media upsets me too. http://youtu.be/VZNkxhB862k?list=FLuffdmsq2QX78sf1fCBdOog
