by Kramer Communications
Producer, Director, DP, Editor The filmmaker, Jeffrey Kramer takes a journey to Amman, Jordan initially to document the training and graduation of the largest class of Iraqi Police Cadets. Once on the base, due to a mix up in paperwork he is detained and then escorted off the base as a security breach. He is eventually allowed back but before he returns he interviews Iraqi refugees and professional athletes to get their perspective of their plight and their struggle to survive.
The Price of Paradise follows personal experiences of individuals and families and reveals candid views about the war in their homeland. The intent of the film is to enlighten Americans about the plight of ordinary Iraqi citizens. This is information that we do not get see by watching the evening news. It portrays Iraqis as proud and dignified people who are trying to survive and rebuild their lives under horrific circumstances. The hope is that the program can serve to build a greater understanding between Americans and Iraqis and effect positive change
