About Emma

I am a sound composer and a media artist focusing on experimental electronic sound and music. My interest is in sound composition and design for theatre, film, dance and installation work.
I have performed internationally as 1/2 of the duo COIN GUTTER, and received international awards for the interactive installation DON'T, STOP with Julie Gendron. Recent works include: The English premiere of Heiner Müller’s MACBETH: Nach SHAKESPEARE; Tanya Marquardt's TRANSMISSION (nominated for a Jesse award for Outstanding Sound Design); the group performance FUNHOUSE/TRADESHOW in Fylkingen (Stockholm, Sweden); the interactive sound installations NOISE/DENOISE presented by Vancouver New Music at Centre A, and 39BPM at the Richmond Art Gallery.
I have also recently been involved in remixes for IO Sound’s "Unearthed From Airwaves", and CSAF Records’ "Not Me" series (lss 2011). I have recently completed "iDon't Stop," an iPhone Application with Julie Gendron. I am currently working on sound for Julie Gendron's interactive installation "Both Sides Now", Craning Neck Theatre's "Monster" and "Dead Cleaveland,"and a new installation work by Dinka Pignon.
