SYNOPSIS:

2 Toms is a slapstick romantic comedy caper that combines elements of Back to the Future, Duplicity, Ocean’s Eleven, and The Blues Brothers.

Dr. Thomas E. Mitchell is a brilliant physicist at Quantum Dynamics. During the company’s annual ski retreat, Tom’s devious, power-hungry colleague, Brett Valor, concocts a plot to ruin Tom’s life by staging an accident on the infamous Highline Run ski race. The plan succeeds, leaving Tom paralyzed and confined to a wheelchair. The incident becomes the fall from grace Brett needs to steal Tom’s promotion and make off with the love of Tom’s life, Claire Valentine.

But things change after Tom invents a time machine — the Chronogenesis 6000 — and uses it to travel into the past to prevent Brett’s betrayal. Tom successfully thwarts the scheme, avoids the crippling ski accident, preserves his career, and continues his romance with Claire. Elated that all of his misfortunes have been erased, Tom returns to the present expecting a restored life — and a future with Claire.

Instead, things take a bizarre twist when Tom discovers that upon his return he has inadvertently triggered a glitch in the space-time continuum, resulting in a cloned version of himself — Tom2 — now living out the life Tom traveled back in time to fix.

But, wait, there’s more! In this altered present, Tom2 is in prison after being found guilty of embezzling $50 million from Quantum Dynamics’ R&D budget — an obvious frame job orchestrated by Brett, who once again set Tom up for destruction.

Forced to confront the unintended consequences of his actions, Tom must join forces with Claire, return to the past one more time to navigate a bizarre love triangle between himself, Claire, and Tom2, expose Brett’s scheme, free Tom2 from prison, and finally set this fractured timeline back on track once and for all.
