Parkinson's Dreams About Me (2011)

He performs to an original cello score and short, dream-like interview excerpts. Featured performer, Rick Hermann, was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease 20 years ago, in 1998, and has been living with the symptoms for one third of his life. 'Parkinson's Dreams About Me' captures and documents the emotional intensity of Hermann's experience through the film maker's attention to his graceful movements, both subtle and obvious. This sole individual, takes the most extreme risks and performs the actual smuggling operations. Filmed on location near active drug smuggling areas around Blaine and Bellingham, in Washington State, this independent feature follows a young man turned drug smuggler, Steve Quick, portrayed by newcomer and Pacific Northwest local, Ethan Ehr, during one night of his life. "Dark Darkness" is based on the award-winning play, "The Dastardly Death of Dr. Darkness," by Bellingham playwright Ben Eisner.
