I really did not think that I was gonna be able to make it out due to some unfortunate set backs that I have had to endure though... however, I made it there and glad at that. And also I love to surprise, lol. And it was also a special treat to see Bill and everybody else there as well... Woot Woot !!!

Got a shot with IFBB PRO Dana Linn Bailey at the 2013 NPC Natural Northern Drug Tested Bodybuilding Physique, Figure and Bikini Championships. Dana even autographed and signed my posters too to add to my collage that I have in my Grungy Old School Styled Basement Gym... Gotta Love It ;) !!!

Placing 10th & 12th is acceptable to me, knowing that I am still lacking that luster cutting edge of well developed legs with size and separation that the NPC Judges look for. I can live with that, knowing how far I have came already... enduring through and triumphing over my physical setbacks. And I am looking forward to entering a 3rd NPC Bodybuilding Competition down the road. However, I will training harder and more diligently... concentrating and focusing on my leg development.

If you lose your sense of motivation... your focus... your personal reasons for reaching and achieving your goals... then you will find your experience meaningless and empty. I am out there to have a GOOD TIME and ENJOY myself. I learn through my experiences... through trial and error... we learn from our mistakes, we correct them and move on... always moving forward, one step at a time. One day at a time. This was my second NPC Bodybuilding Competition. This event was Totally Awesomeness for sure. Everything went well, and I came in a lot leaner than my first show back in March. Weighing in Oct. 4th at a respectable 175 pounds. Much lighter than I had planned. Man, there were so many competitors from all over in this one. I even heard there was some that flew in from other Countries to participate in this event. This being the last NPC National Qualifier for this year, I do believe. Back Stage was PACKED with competitors and everybody was in INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE SHAPE. It was also humid and stinky. PEEEWWWYYYOOOUUU STINKO-DE-MI-AAYYY, LOL. But non the less, there was very much a mutual respect amongst all the competitors as well, and this makes for an awesome time and enjoyable experience. However, We Choose our outlook on Life and how we want to perceive things. Staying on track, remaining focused with a positive outlook has not always been easy. I have persevered through severe back problems & narrowing of the disks since 1997, hernia surgery with mesh patch Implant to repair 2 massive hernias in 2007, and have endured through many other physical setbacks. I have seen much sickness and death of loved ones, financial hardships, etc. that happen in life and are unavoidable. Despite fighting against negative circumstances, I always look at things in a Positive Perspective. You become what you think about. Negative thoughts reap negative results. If you think positive thoughts, you will get positive results. Having a deep rooted Faith in God has always helped me to remain focused and overcome my challenges in Life.

I officially weighed in on the scale at the 2013 NPC Novice Michigan Bodybuilding Competition Show this Morning at 195 pounds. Just making the Light Heavy Weight Division. For my first show I did pretty good coming in 5th place. The shot you see is taken by my wife Lisa... Yes, even though she is still in much pain from her surgery. She still made it to see me perform my 1 minute routine for my evening show performance. My good friend Johnny edited the song from God Smack... I Am Doing The Best That I Can. I Am Doing The Best I Ever Did. During the event, I was on a relentless roller coaster ride of emotions. As the excitement played out... I overcame my fear and anxieties. At the end end... when they were handing me my 5th place Sword Trophy. I was overwhelmed with a sense of accomplishment. Knowing all the hard work and sacrifices that I have made along the way. Overcoming my physical and financial set backs. And how long the road was that it took to get here... It was hard to fight back the tears that kept blurring my vision. Shot taken this morning before my show. I am certainly done with my goals. My destination is only the beginning. I am refreshed and have a new vision of achievement. I see opportunity in my future. And I am going to pursue. I will continue to Improve my overall physique, adding more size with definition and separation I know is attainable in my legs as well. I will keep moving forward... One Step At A Time.

I am so glad and grateful meeting him, and that Mike had such a Great part for me! movie, 'Beat Down' I play a small role in this movie. "Beatdown" is now playing on HBO/HBO on Demand. Yeah, it's true... I am in the Beatdown movie. Although my scene is just a vapor as the fighter in the Octagon Ring, flashes back and forth a couple of times, lol. It is funny because the scene was shot at night outside, and it was cold in the low 30's and I am in the octagon with just my MMA shorts on! Everybody else was dressed in pants, warm sweatshirts and jackets, lol. They did several takes at different angles. Seemed as though I was in the ring for several hours... It was a lot of hurry up and wait. Consistent activity and you had to be ready and prepared when the Director Mike Gunther yelled, Action!!! I wish they would show the behind the scenes Interview on HBO too that Lionsgate put on the DVD/Blue Ray movie release! lol. That would be cool. However, as always...
