Chris Duffin

I’m a UK-based composer, producer, and sound designer working across film, television, and advertising. I specialise in building immersive, emotionally driven sound worlds — music that leaves a mark and moves the story forward.

My work spans everything from scoring short films and branded content to composing for international TV campaigns and sonic branding. I’m the founder of Northern Flowerhouse, a music production studio focused on original, non-cookie-cutter sound for visual media.

As a musician, I’ve toured globally and performed on Later… with Jools Holland and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. I’ve played with acts like Yard Act, James Holden, and Hayden Thorpe, and appeared at major festivals worldwide.

Whether I’m composing for a psychological horror short, creating a bespoke theme for a podcast, or shaping the sonic identity of a brand, I bring a cinematic sensibility and deep respect for storytelling. I’m drawn to projects that aim to do something honest, strange, or beautifully off-centre — and I love working with directors and editors who value sound as a central storytelling force.
