About Nicola

Nicola Lerra is an Italian multi-award-winning composer renowned for his fusion of electronic music with traditional orchestral arrangements. Graduating in composition for Film & Games music from the Film Scoring Academy of Europe under the mentorship of two legends, Andy Hill and Norman Ludwin, at just twenty-five years old, he became the youngest Italian composer to received the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award, which recognizes professional composers and musicians in the film industry for their contributions to audiovisual productions. Notable attendees and fellow nominees at the award ceremony included Alexandre Desplat , Justin Hurwitz, Alan Silvestri, Hans Zimmer and more. Among his most celebrated works is the cover-remix soundtrack "The New Era (From “the New Era”)", created for the final trailer of Marvel's "The Amazing Spider-Man 2 ". Additionally, Lerra composed the score for the animated short film "My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)", acclaimed as a masterpiece at international festivals, particularly the New York Children's Film Festival. The film and the score received accolades from a jury that included Sofia Coppola, Julianne Moore, and Woody Harrelson, and it was shortlisted among the top seventy short films at the Oscars 2017. Recently, Lerra performed for Nobel Peace Prize laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus at the "Lamp of Peace" ceremony.
