I’m Shadaè Lezama, a screenwriter, producer, and founder of Astraea Studios an independent filmmaking/screenwriting company focused on culturally rooted, emotionally resonant stories. My work centers Black, Indigenous, and diasporic narratives across genres, blending personal truth with cinematic depth.
I’m currently developing Blood & Ashes, a Southern Western feature Beyond the Looking Glass, a short film examining endometriosis through a poetic, character-driven lens. I’m passionate about storytelling that bridges representation, purpose, and impact.
As a Ph.D. student in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, I bring a unique perspective on character dynamics, identity, and collective experience. I’m here on Stage 32 to build genuine connections with fellow writers, producers, directors, and industry professionals who are committed to telling bold, inclusive stories.
Looking to collaborate, exchange ideas, and contribute to a creative community where underrepresented voices are not only heard but celebrated.
