Rick Randall – Composer, Songwriter, and Co-Founder of Hot Goat Music
I’m Rick Randall, a composer, songwriter, and one half of the creative duo behind Hot Goat Music, alongside my longtime collaborator Mike Mitschele. Based in North Carolina, we’ve built a reputation for crafting original music that resonates across film, television, and streaming platforms.
Our work has been prominently featured in HBO’s acclaimed series The Righteous Gemstones. Notably, we composed the theme song for the fictional game show “Baby Billy’s Bible Bonkers,” performed by Walton Goggins. Our song “Turn the Other Cheek” from Season 4 gained viral attention, showcasing our ability to blend humor with heartfelt songwriting.
Beyond The Righteous Gemstones, our compositions have appeared in films such as Halloween Kills (2021), Halloween Ends (2022), and Waiting (2005), among others. Our versatility allows us to traverse genres, delivering music that enhances storytelling and connects with audiences.
At Hot Goat Music, Mike and I pride ourselves on our collaborative synergy, quick turnaround times, and a deep understanding of narrative-driven composition. We’re passionate about creating music that not only complements but elevates visual media.

They also wrote the ‘Bible Bonkers Theme Song’ as well as numerous other bangers from the show.
