Peter Loehr is an American film producer and executive renowned for pioneering independent cinema in China. In 1995, he founded Imar Film Co., the country’s first independent film company, producing acclaimed films like Spicy Love Soup, Shower, and Quitting. Loehr later led Creative Artists Agency (CAA) China, expanding its representation across Asia and facilitating major co-productions. As CEO of Legendary East, he oversaw Sino-American projects, including The Great Wall. Fluent in Mandarin and Japanese, Loehr continues to influence cross-cultural film collaborations.
