About Chase
Chase Stewart is a Kansas City-based filmmaker with a passion for turning small budgets into big, heartfelt stories. A UMKC graduate with a focus in Film and Media, Chase got his start threading film reels as a projectionist before diving into hands-on production.
He’s worked behind the scenes as a Production Assistant and Camera Operator for Fox 4 News, where he also edited movie review segments, and contributed to national broadcasts like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Fox Sports during the 2015 World Series.
Chase’s storytelling chops have landed his work on the festival circuit—A Cast to Remember premiered at the 2018 Kansas City Film Festival, and his pilot Leaning with Remy Raystar took home the Audience Award at Silicon Beach and Best TV Pilot at the Robinson Film Awards in 2023.
His 2024 short script Kurma has gained international recognition, earning selections and honors from the Chicago Script Awards, Indie Vegas, Best Script Award – London, and Italy’s Absurd Film Festival.
