About John

Hello! I'm John Allen (He/Him), award-nominated and winning scriptwriter, writer, videographer, editor, copywriter and author. I'm in a committed relationship with comedy, fantasy, science fiction and horror, and enjoy giving them a good blend and shake. But I also write contemporary comedy and non-fiction. For fiction, I write under the pen name of J.W. Allen because I thought it would make me sound cooler. I realised it makes me sound more like a thriller writer, so have gradually gone back to "Call me John!"

I do not use artificial intelligence tools in any of my creative work. Nothing against A.I. but there are some things I like to do myself.

I'm here (on a friend's recommendation) to continue to build relationships with the global creative community!
