I graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a degree in screenwriting. Then worked as a creative assistant in LA for a South Korean distributor. From there, I embarked on a career as a freelance writer and content strategist in advertising.
My scripts are inspired by my love for all genres of comedy. My background in advertising helped me learn to approach screenwriting from a conceptual perspective, and to think with an audience (and their expectations) in mind. While working as an assistant in LA, I learned a lot about the ins-and-outs and pace of the industry. I also learned the importance of approaching screenwriting as a collaborative process that is ever-shifting.
I'm currently looking to connect with manager, agents, producers, and other industry professionals searching for edgy comedies with mainstream appeal. I'm based in Kansas City, but work for myself with the ability to travel, if necessary.
