Sonia Gonzalvo Pharand

Sonia Gonzalvo Pharand is a film production project manager and the lead coordinator of the Rising Stars program at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. This initiative, designed to spotlight emerging Canadian talent, offers rising creatives access to international industry networks, curated mentorship, and high-level exposure on the global stage.

Based in Quebec, Sonia also works with Flirt Films, an independent production company committed to bold storytelling and diverse voices. She is currently involved in the development of the feature film Bougainvillea, now in the casting phase.

With a sharp eye for logistics, creative alignment, and talent development, Sonia is dedicated to building meaningful cinematic projects that resonate deeply and reflect the richness of today’s narratives.
