My path into screenwriting has been far from conventional — and definitely not planned. That said, as a TV/film editor, probably half my job involves rewriting scripts on the fly with whatever producer I’m working with (at least that’s how it goes in natural history). So the shift into screenwriting felt like a fairly organic one — and a really enjoyable one, too.

I’ve written six commissioned scripts for the BBC, all produced and broadcast (one was nominated for a BAFTA). I’ve just completed my first feature — a period romantasy — and I’m now onto the second: an animated time-travel Western.
