Dimitris Dodoras

I'm an internationally working composer, orchestrator, and music producer. My career spans across Europe and the United States, and I’ve had the opportunity to contribute music to award-winning films, viral media projects, and high-profile collaborations with world-class orchestras and studios.

I hold a Bachelor of Music in Composition, Music, and Studio Production from the Prins Claus Conservatorium in Groningen, Netherlands (2010–2014), and spent a year studying at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Early in my career, I gained hands-on experience through internships at John Powell’s studio in Los Angeles—where I assisted on the music mix for The Bourne Ultimatum—and at Abbey Road Studios in London, contributing to the orchestral recordings for Marco Beltrami’s The Omen. One of my earliest honors was receiving the Skoda Soundtrack Award for Young Composers at SoundTrack_Cologne 2.0 in 2005.

Recent career highlights include:

Hope and Glory – A Mad Max Fan Film (2024), scored for the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. The soundtrack won the German Rock & Pop Prize for Best Film Music and the film reached over 2 million views on YouTube.

Fracti (2024), a Swiss animated short featuring a minimalist choral score. The film was selected for festivals including Vienna Shorts and received multiple international awards.

Work-Life Balance (2023), a comedy short that received acclaim at festivals such as HollyShorts.

Fellini Forward (2021), a Campari-produced short that premiered at the Venice and New York Film Festivals. The score, performed by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, won the Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Music in a Live Action Short Film.

Whether working closely with a director, editor, sound designer, or fellow musicians, I value open communication, creative exchange, and building a shared vision. I thrive in environments where ideas can flow freely, and I believe that the best music often comes from strong collaboration and mutual trust.
