About Cheryl
Cheryl Walsh is an Irish actor and writer based in Cork. She trained at the 16th Street Actors Studio in Melbourne, Australia, and worked professionally in theatre across Melbourne before returning home to Ireland in 2023. She is currently a member of the Cork Shakespearean Company. Cheryl is drawn to emotionally complex female characters and stories that explore psychological tension, silence, and themes of domestic or emotional abuse. Her work often centres on unspoken female experiences. She is the writer of several short films and is currently under commission to write an original stage play.
