I’m a guy who loves making films. Right now, I’m a video editor at a social media promotion company in Abu Dhabi. I also direct and edit my own projects. As a kid, I dreamed of being in movies, but my family didn’t have much money. Plus, I come from an orthodox Muslim family that didn’t even watch films, so film school wasn’t possible. Instead, I learned computer hardware and software. While working as a computer technician, I taught myself filmmaking by experimenting, watching movies, and studying YouTube videos. I love directing to bring stories to life and editing to make them look good, but I don’t have that much experience in directing yet. I have stories and ideas for web series that I’d love to create. Someone suggested I act in my own films, and I might try it. I just want to create real stories, even without a big budget or a fancy degree.
