I’m a Somali-Norwegian filmmaker, actress, and founder of Blue Bag Studio, an independent production company creating bold, emotional, and globally resonant films.
My work blends cinematic realism, poetic depth, and raw vulnerability, shaped by a life that crosses continents, cultures, and untold stories.
From immersive performances in deeply emotional roles to directing socially powerful films like No Safe Place and She Stood Up, I’ve grown beyond acting — I now lead the full creative vision from script to screen.
I write. I direct. I act. I produce. I build teams.
Currently prepping multiple films across Norway, Los Angeles, the South of France, and Italy, I focus on stories that move people, emotionally, culturally, and globally.
I’m not waiting for permission.
I’m creating space for the stories that need to be told.
I’m seeking collaborators who think globally, dream wildly, and move with purpose, producers, investors, co-creatives.
