About Daniel

My name is Daniel Vossen, and I am a screenwriter, director, and editor. I enjoy bringing creative ideas to life and realizing projects of all kinds. I thrive in situations that challenge me and allow me to grow.

1994 – Present

Since my parents brought home a video camera, my passion for the medium of film has developed uncontrollably. From my first hesitant steps with stop-motion films that I made as a child with my toys, to producing high-profile feature films with international casts – every experience has deepened my enthusiasm for storytelling.

When the video camera disappeared from my life, I decided to follow my urge for creative expression in another way: through writing. I began with short stories, delved into the world of theater, and eventually found my calling in screenwriting. Throughout this journey through the world of stories, I continuously expanded my knowledge of films by studying works from every era and every corner of the globe.

After my training and acquiring my first camera, I founded my own company under the name "Eight Elements Films" and produced my first feature film, "JERRY COEL". This project was not only an artistic milestone but also a stepping stone to further successes. In addition to feature films, I began producing music videos and documenting events, which showed me that my talent was also in demand as a tailored service.

In 2022, to avoid name confusion, I rebranded my company and founded "Daniel Vossen Filmproductions". My feature film "JERRY COEL" received international recognition at renowned film festivals, which led me to my next project, "NO TIME TO THINK". The screenplay for the sequel "The Fall of Acent" is already finished and another screenplay of another feature Film "Fame - Some die of curiosity" is already finished as well.

Film production is not just my job, but my life's work. The exchange of ideas and visions with clients inspires me, as does the challenge of making every project something unique.

Unique traits: It’s hard to pinpoint what my unique traits are, but I believe they lie in my open and collaborative working style. I work consistently and creatively with all departments and value the input of every crew and cast member. I’m always open to ideas and suggestions because I believe that inspiration and development thrive best within a team. Particularly in the actor's process, I allow a lot of room for development and interpretation of the role. An actor has to feel the role to play it authentically – only then will it feel real and believable to the audience. I don’t appreciate arrogant people who put themselves above others; instead, I value working together as a team to bring out the best in everything.
