Hi, I’m Len Archibald—a screenwriter, film critic, and proud weirdo from Windsor, ON. I’ve got a B.A. in Film Studies and Production from Arizona State University, which basically means I spent four years learning how to overanalyze movies and drink way too much coffee. For over a decade, I’ve been sharing my love (and occasional rage) for films—first on WLIO’s Morning Edition in Lima, Ohio, and now on my YouTube channel, So B.I.G. Movies, where I geek out about everything from horror flicks to underrated gems. I also empathize with the madness of running a film festival as I served as Executive Director for a couple in Northwest Ohio.
I specialize in writing horror and thrillers, often with a focus on stories from a minority perspective. Why? Because the world needs more voices, more perspectives, and more people screaming at their screens when the protagonist does something obviously stupid.
Oh, and about me? I’m a little “off.” Like, anxiety-and-bipolar-disorder-off. But hey, it keeps things interesting. After years of battling my own brain and second-guessing every word I write, I’ve decided to stop hiding and start sharing my stories with the world. Because if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life’s too short to not chase your weird, wonderful dreams. I also dabble as a playwright, engage in poetry and tend to spit a few bars of fire in my spare time.
So, buckle up. My stories are dark, twisty, and probably a little unhinged—just like me. Let’s make some magic!
