About Leigh

Leigh's Film Experience

Leigh began his career as a Television Producer with Australia's largest advertising agency, Clemenger BBDO, managing high-profile clients and delivering exceptional commercial campaigns. Transitioning to freelance Directing and Producing, Leigh has built a dynamic career spanning television, corporate, and new media projects.

Leigh’s drama directing credits include Flotsam & Jetsam, For Better, For Worse, and the acclaimed The Carer by Alan Hopgood, starring Charles "Bud" Tingwell. His feature film Dalkeith (2001), a poignant tale set in a retirement home, garnered critical acclaim, was shortlisted for Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight, and sold internationally. David Stratton hailed it as "a gem of Australian cinema."

Further credits include Under a Red Moon (2008), a gripping contemporary drama featuring Richard Norton and Jane Badler, and 6plots (2013), a youth-driven thriller released through Lionsgate in the U.S. and sold in Europe, Japan, and the UK.

Leigh’s talent for collaboration extends to script development, having worked with Film Victoria on Kohlberg and partnered with producers and writers on multiple projects, including Hit the Ground Running and In the Wake. His portfolio showcases a flair for storytelling across genres and platforms, making him a sought-after writer-director.
