About Louie
Seduced by the gritty '70s underbelly of the Big Apple, Louie Mandrapilias moved to New York City to pursue a career in drug smuggling, which was brought to a halt by Miami DEA. His gritty coming-of-age memoir "Flew Too High" is currently the #1 Adventure Book/Manuscript on Coverfly’s The Red List.
He is busy writing the sequel to his first feature, about surviving addiction and the '80s AIDS crisis, as well as a WWII story of Greeks and Jews fighting back Nazi invaders in the mountains of Sparta.
A true Renaissance man, Louie just completed a full renovation of a historic Brooklyn brownstone. He shares his home in Los Angeles with his Basenji mutt Luna.
