Roberto Urbina is a dynamic filmmaker and actor, serving as co-founder of Cinestesia, a cutting-edge film production company established in 2023. A UCLA graduate, Urbina earned his degree as magna cum laude in Political Science with a minor in Film. His passion for storytelling and innovation has led him to produce many successful films, including the acclaimed Hostile Border and El Otro Hijo.
As an actor, Urbina has had significant roles in both Hollywood and Latin American productions. He is best known for his performances in the Netflix series Narcos, the film Loco Por Vos, and the TNT series Snowpiercer. His latest credits include lead roles in both Deadland, premiering in SXSW 2023, and Alix, from Catalyst Studios. Urbina’s breakout role came with the 2003 Bolivian drama "Sexual Dependency," Bolivia's entry to the 76th Academy Awards. Other notable credits include Towards Darkness, Tarde Lo Conoci, Metastasis (Spanish version of Breaking Bad) and Correo de Inocentes.
Urbina's work has been recognized in multiple international film festivals, and he continues to be a prominent figure in the global film industry, fostering collaborations between Latin American and international markets.
