About Brendan

Brendan Miggins, a talented new screenwriter hailing from Farmington, CT, USA, brings a fresh perspective to storytelling.

WRITER'S STATEMENT
After over a decade of dedicated self-guided study and formal training in screenwriting, I'm now stepping into the professional arena, eager to collaborate on compelling storytelling projects. My journey has been one of deep exploration into narrative structure, character development (Heart of Darkness), compelling conflict, compelling questions, and authentic dialogue. I recently submitted my first script entry to competition, resulting in a finalist placement at the 2025 New York International Screenplay Awards—a "win" in my book. This first accolade validates the years I spent training and learning the craft and it tells me maybe I'm doing something right. I'm looking forward to bringing my well honed skills to new creative partnerships.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
— Bachelor of Architecture, University of Notre Dame
— Corey Mandell's Professional Screenwriting Series: Professional Screenwriting and Television Writing Workshop; Organic Story Structure Workshop; Plot Casting Story Design Workshop; Numerous other classes taught by Corey

SELF GUIDED STUDY
— A dozen years of daily scene work focusing on conflict, character depth, and organic story structure
— Countless books, articles, seminars, classes and workshops on the art and craft of screenwriting

Having recently completed this extensive training phase, and after a successful career as an Architect, I'm now actively seeking professional opportunities to apply my storytelling expertise.
