A driven and enthusiastic KZN based entrepreneur, in the business of film and theatre making. Nondumiso is the founder and artistic director at NDUWIE STUDIOS which is a films and theatre studio that produces African content with universal themes, and provides unique services that area scarce in the creative arts industry.

THEATRE
Performer/Director/Playwright

A theatre practitioner who started as a theatre performer, and grew her way up to the playwright and director position, mentored by a renowned EThekwini living legend, and playwright Mr Edmund Mhlongo. She then became the only KZN finalist in musical theatre for the Art and Culture Trust in 2018, and was a team leader for the music and dance folk festival in India (2019). She has then produced, written, and directed her own theatre productions which has be staged in theatre houses such as The playhouse, State theatre, K-Cap.

FILMMAKER
Producer/Writer/Director

Nondumiso is experienced in screenwriting, as well as play writing. She has worked on TV productions, and various short and feature films as part of polishing her craft, and making sure she becomes the best version of herself. One of Nondumiso’s short films landed her a promising award in the KwaZulu-Natal African Film Festival. She has also written and directed a couple of short films, that have been screened in film festivals both in South Africa and internationally. Nondumiso is also a NEWF fellow specialising in Nature and Wildlife documentary filmmaking.
