Film (short) by Langara Film Arts Screenwriter Greta Thompson, the biggest silent film star of her day, has to come to terms with the end of the silent pictures and the advent of the Talkies. With the help of her partner, Bette, and an offer from a rival studio, can Greta find happiness in this new life ahead of her? The film is set in 1927, following the release of Al Jolson’s The Jazz Signer and at a turning point in Hollywood history, when motion pictures went from silent to having sound. Mrs. Rosa’s European Vacation is an homage to those classic Hollywood films from the 1900’s to the 1950’s.
