About Theo

A serial entrepreneur, Theo Dumont has a tremendous amount of entertainment industry experience. A Goldman Sachs Small Business program cohort, He is also the co-founder of the Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival, as well as its sister festivals HollyShorts Comedy, and HollyShorts London. He also co-founded the Mammoth Film Festival. He is also the co-founder and Partner at management, production and marketing firm Alta Global Media. At Alta Global Media (EP), he is an EP along with Steven Adams on the forthcoming film RISE starring Jimmy Jean-Louis and Jimmy Akingbola. Dumont is also an EP on Eric Nazarian’s forthcoming feature Die Like a Man which is releasing April 25, 2025. Dumont was also an EP on Jaclyn Bethany’s indie drama feature Indigo Valley starring Rosie Day, Brandon Sklenar and Greta Bellamacina. Dumont and AGM are EP’s on Bethany’s upcoming feature film All Five Eyes starring Honor Swinton Byrne and Greta Bellamacina. The film is currently shooting in the UK. Dumont is also currently an EP on Bethany's recent short film Ruby.

Dumont is also co-founder of the Production Company 88th Street Productions, an affiliate of HollyShorts where he helps mine the access to 40,000 short films and filmmakers in all genres for feature film and series development. Dumont and 88th are currently in development on Stefan Dezil’s THIRST, a feature film adaptation of his popular horror short film along with 20th Digital Studio (Disney) which was a runaway success on Hulu as part of their Bite Size Horror anthology. 88th Street also has a 3 Picture first-look deal with Epic Pictures and Dread. Dumont and 88th Street oversee The Seattle Film Summit short film fun. 88th Street/HollyShorts recently licensed 23 short documentaries for the relaunched Documentary Channel streaming platform. Dumont's short film EP credits include: Jameson by John Humber, Lunchbox Brigade by Kyle Thiele, Infini by L. Philippe Casseus, The Son, The Father by Lucas Hassel, The Cask by Ryan Leeder, Good Samaritans by Ryan Leeder, Desmond’s Not Here Anymore by Mmabatho Montsho, written by Lindiwe Suttle Muller-Westernhag starring Yolonda Ross and S. Epatha Merkerson and The Problem with Time Travel by Mike Kearby, Sara by Jessica Hinkson, and Dummy by Lukas Hassel and Andrew Kaberline, An Old Friend which is doing the festival circuit, as well as Survived By by KD Chalk which is also doing the festival rounds.

Dumont is a longtime marketing and communications advisor to Oscar-winning Director Spike Lee, hip hop legend Flavor Flav, Wu-Tang mastermind RZA and series creator Adi Hasak.

Dumont previously founded Dumont Marketing Group (DMG), a company that he led for six years, working with production companies, filmmakers, independent films, comic book publishers, authors and digital entertainment companies. Dumont also previously worked at MGM Studios in Corporate Comms. He studied Communications and received his BA from Florida International University in Miami, FL. He is a BAFTA Member and member of the Television Academy.
