Lawrence Iweriebor

Legendary Lawrence Iweriebor, also known as King Rencezo and D’ Dark Horse, is a Nigerian filmmaker, actor, producer, and director from Delta State. He grew up in Port Harcourt (PH City) and currently resides in Lagos State. Lawrence holds a degree in Biology from Cross River University of Technology, Calabar. Despite initial family objections, he pursued his passion for acting and filmmaking, enrolling at the Royal Arts Academy in 2020. Since then, he has appeared in over six short films, a feature film, and a documentary.

An alumnus of Ebonylife Creative Academy, Lawrence is certified in both producing and directing. He is passionate about telling true-life stories and sharing Nigerian and African narratives that resonate with a global audience. His co-production of the short film Stupid Finder garnered eight additional awards, including Best Picture. In 2022, Lawrence and his colleagues won the Best Producer award at Ebonylife Creative Academy (4th Intake).

Since completing his studies, Lawrence has produced over eight short films and contributed to more than four feature films in various roles, including Production Manager, First Assistant Director, and Script Supervisor. His work has earned him nominations, including Best Short Film at SWIFF2023 and Best Student Short Film at the Bayelsa International Film Festival.

Currently, Lawrence works as a freelancer in any production capacity, providing services such as script breakdown, scheduling, and budgeting using Movie Magic Scheduling/Budgeting software. He is known for his self-assurance, analytical mindset, strong work ethic, and leadership abilities. Lawrence thrives in collaborative environments and adapts quickly to new challenges in the filmmaking industry.

With his motto, "Success is the product of hard work," Lawrence aims to inspire others to achieve their goals. He carries the Crown of Victory and continues to rise in the industry, embodying the perseverance and determination of D' Dark Horse.
