About Ashvik

I'm a screenwriter currently based in India. I've lived the first half of my life in the USA and English is my first language, so I've stuck to writing English language scripts since I started this hobby. I'm currently in the summer break between high school and college, so I've got a good amount of free time to get some writing done.

I've been writing for about 4 years and have been making films for 7 years (though they're all amateurish). I mostly write features and short films, though I'm planning to write a pilot in a couple of months. There's not really a specific genre I stick to, but my favourites are probably noir-detective stuff, sci-fi, action, and drama.

    The Polybius Tapes (2024)
Series Creator The Polybius Tapes is an Analog Horror series following a series of missing cases in Maple County in 1998, prompts police officers Ryan Fletcher and Chloé Collins to investigate them. As the pair dig deeper into the cases, they uncover a series of conspiracies, plaguing the County from generations, while simultaneously coming to terms with their troubled pasts. The series grapples with themes of identity, isolation and existentialism. The goal was to go beyond the conventional tropes of jump scares seen within this subgenre and create dread through its characters and themes. I started working on this series alone in March 2024 before expanding it around a 20+ member crew. With over 75k+ views and reactions from notable YouTubers, the series has so far been my most successful and mature project.
