Bethany Edwards is an award-winning director and screenwriter from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is currently a full-time student at Westminster College and is set to graduate in May 2024. In 2023, she directed a 48-hour Film Project submission, which was nominated for three awards and won Best Student Film.
At 15 years old, Bethany wrote and self-published a novel titled, ‘Wind Walker,’ which received an Honorable Mention at the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards in 2019. Bethany has worked as a production assistant on Netflix’s feature film, ‘The Pale Blue Eye.’
She is inspired by directors like Taika Waititi and Greta Gerwig. Bethany is motivated to create films that address tough issues and create a positive impact on society.
